Steve Christian Review

Steve… Surprisingly, this is not a normal school drama. The story starts simple – Steve, the headteacher, is busy trying to save his reformed college while also fighting his mental health struggles. Then comes a troubled student – the guy is torn between his violent tendencies and a better future. And this is where the real depth of the story begins.

The morality angle is quite real. See bhai, hero and villain are not clearly defined here. Life is messy, decisions have an impact not just on us, but on others as well. Romans 3:23 comes to mind – “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Every small and big choice has its weight, and the movie quietly shows us this.

Faith and spirituality are subtly presented. There is no direct prayer scene, nor is any Bible quote bold, but the story tells us that the power of patience, perseverance, and empathy is only realized when we let go of our ego and trust in God’s guidance. Proverbs 3:5-6 comes to mind – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Steve and Shy’s journey subtly shows us how faith is seen in action, even without saying a word.

Family-friendly? It’s a little mixed, brother. Teenagers’ aggression, emotional breakdowns, and mental health struggles are quite intense. No vulgarity, but better for adults and older teens.

Positive role models? Steve is a flawed hero – a little anxious, a little overworked, but commitment level is high. Shy is messy, but growth is possible. Ephesians 4:32 comes to mind – “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgives you.” The movie gives a message of quiet redemption and patience.

Biblical accuracy? No direct references, but the values promoted – compassion, guidance, humility, perseverance – match the principles of the Bible.

Overall, Steve has a real, reflective journey. This reminds us that with hope, grace, and a little persistence, we can positively impact people’s lives, even when everything seems broken.
