Prime Minister Christian Review
“Prime Minister”… the moment one hears the name, it seems that it is going to be a serious, a little dry, political-type documentary. But as the film begins to unfold, something hits the heart. This is not just politics, brother. This is a matter of humanity. Jacinda Ardern – was the Prime Minister of New Zealand from 2017 to 2023 – her work was not any PR stunt or vote-bank manipulation. People keep saying “grace” and “compassion” in her speeches, Jacinda showed that from her life. And that’s what flips the whole narrative.

If this film is seen through a Christian lens… then it seems as if a soft-spoken spiritual masterclass is going on. A leadership that comes from the heart. Like when the Christchurch mosque shooting happened… or the White Island volcano tragedy… seeing Jacinda’s reaction reminds me of Romans 12:15—“mourn with those who mourn.” She had not just come to give the press conference, I could see the pain in her eyes. And that pain was real. When compassion is real… her vibration is different. Jacinda had that.
Then came the time of COVID. The whole globe was going through a meltdown. Panic everywhere. Systems were collapsing. And at that time Jacinda was not just a PM, she was also a mother. Managing the country during the day, putting the baby to sleep at night—this is no fun. Mark 10:45 flashed in my mind—“The Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve.” When leadership becomes a combo of love and responsibility… then it seems real. Jacinda led like that.
And the most powerful thing? Her stand against misinformation. When anything was said to go viral in the world, Jacinda stood for the truth. Calm, patient, united. The mood of Ephesians 4:2-3 was visible in every speech, every body language. Policies can be made by everyone… but leadership that runs from the heart? That is found only in people.

There will be no direct reference to the Bible in the film, I agree. But if you are a believer, you will see integrity, humility, courage in every frame. Jacinta does not stand in a pulpit to preach, but her life itself seems like a hidden testimony. And this documentary reminds us of 1 Timothy 2:1-2—that we should not only pray for our leaders but also try to become like them.
What feeling do you get at the end? This is not a gossip-based or scandal-exposing documentary. It is a mirror that shows the heart of a leader. And if you have even a little spiritual discernment within you… then you will understand what level of impact grace and faith-based values can bring to the world.
A small advice—don’t think that you are just going to see Jacinda’s profile. See what you remember while leaving. What does real leadership actually look like? And it is possible that by the end of the film you may ask yourself—if I have to lead tomorrow… will I do it with the power of my might? Or with savior-like softness?
Just maybe… that is the real question.
